On the audio side of things, the game has the option to have Sully from the Uncharted games offer narration throughout Mickey's adventure. Now that I think about it, I really ought to try downsampling to see if I could get the game to look smoother or cleaner, shame there's prob. The game's graphics are nice IMO and there are a few lovely visuals in some sections of stages (apologies for any compression as I'm posting from my Screenshots on Steam)
In general you're going to be able to get enough to unlock the later worlds just by playing through stages and getting as many 'safe' gems as possible.īoss fights are generally pretty easy as the bosses have a simple pattern to memorize but generally as their health goes lower they'll start using additional attacks. This remake has a colletctathon element in it, but one that's mainly easy: In all levels there are gems, you'll need to collect a certain number in order to unlock later worlds. I've found the platforming pretty nice and simple, it can get tougher by the later levels but are still manageable.
The game consists of 5 worlds being 2 platforming stages and a 3rd stage being a boss fight. Controls wise, the game can be a bit stiff to play but it wasn't anything too bothersome I found, as I managed to navigate much of the platforming with little issue. This transition can seem jarring at times but the game isn't too much of a speedy platformer so you can accustom to the switching without much trouble. The game is a platformer that features 2D and 3D gameplay and at some sections there is a transition between the two so you would be doing a 2D section than enter into a section of a stage that needs to be progressed in in 3D.
